X̱wáýx̱way Swoon

O.Dela Arts is proud to present this new Contemporary Indigenous dance-on-film performance in partnership with Shooting Gallery Performance Series. X̱wáýx̱way Swoon was created, performed and edited by O.Dela Arts Artistic Director, Olivia C. Davies (Anishinaabe) and filmed on location by Ed Spence, August 2020.

A love song to the lands and waters known as X̱wáýx̱way, aka Stanley Park, in Vancouver, BC, Canada that once was home to many great mothers. A woman settles into the liminal space where light and dark collide. Honoring the echoes of those who are no longer. Exaltation in new growth and the ripple of time.
